erb_gut’s 2nd album, definitely pumps some fuel into your legs and stomach. In this Swiss musician Christoph Erb blends elements of jazz, rock and free-“stuff”. The themes and arrangements alternate with free passages which are characterised by a dense course of interactions.

The unbiased way to deal with the various stylistic elements allows these six musicians to combine a raw, archaic universe of sounds with lyrical elements and pulsating grooves and turn it into a multifaceted entity.

“Engurg” is erb_gut’s 2nd CD, which presents itself as a gaudy network of sounds and beats!

erb_gut has been awarded with the Zürcher Kantonalbank jazz prize 2005.
